“I think I’ll live in T-13 next year.”
“I don’t even know what T-13 is.”
This is wonderful. And so accurate.
tinypotterhead1 asked: hi im going to be applying to colleges soon and i am really interested in Ithaca and i wanted to know what the community is like? Are people nice and was it an easy transition and making friends? Im really nervous about this whole college thing.
Here at Ithaca we are known for having a very accepting community. We are extremely LGBTQ friendly and definitely make an effort to be accepting of different religions/beliefs/races. My personal experience is that people are very nice, but with an undergraduate body of 6,000+ you aren’t going to like everyone.
There are numerous clubs, performances, and ways to get involved on campus. It is easier to make friends when you get involved in something you are interested in.
A lot of the people that go here are from the east coast, but not everyone. The transition period is different for everyone. For me it was pretty easy. The biggest change for me was the weather. Where I’m from there is a lot more sun than here at Ithaca.
If you are thinking seriously about Ithaca, warning: there are so many stairs that it is not even funny. Campus is on a hill so getting anywhere will include at least one staircase.
Best of luck! Hope this helped!

Um. Okay, T-13.
So respectful of property. All the time.
